What would you say you do here?
It's an apt question, isn't it? And I have to think that it's also part of what led you here. So, let's start with the basics, shall we?
What this is...
I'll try not to oversimplify, but in essence, the idea is to help you better shop your closet. It's one part Marie Kondo (in that we do need to rid our spaces of things that don't give us joy), one part sustainability (we all fall into the fast fashion trap when we simply cannot find the right outfit for an event), mixed with the intention of gaining clarity.
Clarity on what, you ask?
Your style. Your gaps. Quite literally...your closet.
In a perfect world, we would all have walk-in closets the size of Carrie Bradshaw's (movie era), but that's not the reality for many of us. And even for those of us hashtag blessed with one, it's sometimes even easier to throw our entire lives in those closets and shut the door and pretend the chaos doesn't exist.
What this isn't...
That being said, what this is not is professional organizing. This is not the Home Edit or other similar, local, tremendously talented home organizers. My house, and even a bit of my closet, has plenty of Monica's closets. While I certainly have a system I use (and recommend, more on that later!), it is form over function.
What this could end up being...
Beyond the core purpose of the service, the options are all yours. My intention with the closet cleanout is not to step into the realm of style advice. Looking for style advice and guidance, though? I am happy to provide my opinion throughout the process. Looking for help that dips its toe into the styling and personal shopping pond? I am here for it. You are the client, you dictate your needs and wants.
Where to, now...
This is something I've noodled over for far longer than I care to admit, so right now I'm honestly thrilled to simply be hitting "publish" on a website, building the brand, and bringing you along for the ride.
